'Destiny 2' expansion 'Curse of Osiris' will take players to Mercury

Destiny 2 DLC “Curse of Osiris” Detailed, Bungie Confirms Guardians Are Going to Mercury

A Look At The First DLC For 'Destiny 2'

Thanks to a listing in the Xbox Store, we can all but confirm previous rumours and "leaks" regarding Destiny 2's first expansion.

While Curse of Osiris will be the first time players get to explore the planet Mercury, this isn't the first time Guardians have visited it in Destiny.

The new Mercury destination will come with new Adventures, and new story missions.

"Journey through time and space to learn the secrets of Osiris, avert a dark future, and rebuild the ties between the legendary Warlock and his greatest student-Ikora Rey", the listing says. The DLC includes additional story missions and quests, which take place on Mercury, in a location called the Infinite Forest. The description sounds pretty ambitious, and we're wondering if Warlocks might be able to look forward a new subclass? We still don't know when either DLC expansion is set to arrive, unfortunately.

New story missions and adventures. The page does not reveal a release date, but going by the original report, Curse of Osiris should be released in December.

Update: Not that there was much reason to doubt an official store listing, but you can brush away any suspicions you had about Destiny 2: Curse of Osiris. The aforementioned DLC will be the first of the hugely popular sequel.

If you want to extend your Destiny 2 journey with Curse of Osiris, you can buy it as part of the Destiny 2 Expansion Pass, which is available now for $34.99. Curse of Osiris appears to alleviate that by adding a new world, a new story, and a whole lot of other new stuff.

"Curse of Osiris is not a leak".
