Pitbull lends private jet to help cancer patients in hurricane-torn Puerto Rico

In the days following the peak of the storm, a massive number of people living in Puerto Rico were left without power-including cancer patients requiring electricity to continue their chemo therapy.

News of Pitbull's generosity emerged Tuesday night when Puerto Rico Congresswoman Jenniffer Gonzalez took to Twitter to express her gratitude.

The 36-year-old singer, born Armando Christian Perez, said he was happy to fly several people back to the U.S.so they could receive treatment.

He told the paper that it was the least he could do.

Several other stars have also helped out in the relief effort, including Jennifer Lopez, who has pledged US$1 million (RM4.2 million) to help victims, and her boyfriend Alex Rodriguez. "Thank God we're blessed to help". Together we can help rebuild our island, and the Caribbean'.

"Puerto Rico is destroyed, completely destroyed", Barea said. "Our island of Puerto Rico has been hit by two of the most devastating hurricanes we've ever seen: Irma and Maria".
