Las Vegas shooter looked into hotel room across from larger music festival

A law enforcement source told the Daily Beast that they're investigating whether Stephen Paddock rented several condos at The Odgen.

Headliners at "Life is Beautiful" included the Gorillaz, Lorde, Chance the Rapper and Blink-182.

The Daily Beast reports that according to a senior law enforcement source, Stephen Paddock, 64, may have initially set his attention on the "Life Is Beautiful" music festival in Vegas the weekend of September 23.

The news site visited the Ogden, a 21-story luxury condominium tower, and stated that it was "in line of sight to the concert-grounds".

Melissa Warren, public affairs officer for Fais Foley Warren, owner of the Ogden, could not confirm or deny to the Daily Beast that Paddock had rented rooms at the hotel, and suggested contacting the LVMPD, as it is an ongoing investigation. From there, he open-fired into the unsuspecting crowd at the Route 91 Harvest Festival wherer country star, Jason Aldean headlined.

The Las Vegas shooting has stirred up a lot of conversation surrounding gun control.

"We have information that he may have attended 'Life is handsome, ' but we haven't confirmed it yet", the sheriff said.

Las Vegas police found Paddock dead in his hotel room-due to an apparent suicide- and later recovered a whopping 23 weapons, including a handgun and multiple rifles.

"That investigation is ongoing", Life is lovely organizer Justin Weniger told NBC News, referring inquiries to the Las Vegas police.

Paddock, 64, carried out the deadliest mass shooting in U.S. history on Sunday night when he fired shots from a room on the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Hotel casino on the Las Vegas Strip.
