Vegetable products sold at Whole Foods Markets, Trader Joes, Walmart, and Meijer stores in at least six states are also being recalled, but as of Monday morning, none of those retailers has recalled products sold in Texas stores.

A major vegetable recall was issued across the country last week amid fears of bacterial contamination.

Listeria monocytogenes can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems.

The affected items were listed as "best if used by" October 11 to October 20.

Whole Foods recalled Veggie Power Blend, Sesame Chicken Power Salad, and Mexican Chicken Power Salad salads sold by the pound at 10 Northern California stores from September 28 through Friday.

Walmart store brand Broccoli Florets; Broccoli Cauliflower Florets; Broccoli Slaw; Stir Fry Medley; Cauliflower Florets; Cauliflower; Super Blend and Vegetable Medley.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency found a single positive result of listerai monocytogenes in a sample of Mann Packing's products during a random sampling, according to an October 19 news release from the Food and Drug Administration.

All products should be either tossed out or returned where they were bought for refund.

"As an owner of this company and a mom, providing safe and healthy foods to our consumers and their families is always our top priority", said Gina Nucci, Director of Corporate Marketing. Healthy individuals may suffer short-term symptoms, according to the FDA, like fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea.

Recalled products from Archer Farms include 12-ounce bags of broccoli slaw, broccoli cauliflower florets, broccoli florets, broccoli medley and brussels sprouts.
