New York Giants cornerback Janoris Jenkins has been reinstated after serving a one-week suspension for a violation of team rules.

Jenkins was late returning to the team after the bye week, missing a day with an unexcused absence.

"He's our quarterback", McAdoo told reporters Monday, via Newsday.

Giants head coach Ben McAdoo was criticized following the Week 9 defeat, as the G-Men didn't appear to be giving their all as the game progressed. It was the second veteran cornerback suspended in three weeks.

The suspension and multiple injuries left the Giants desperate for bodies against the Rams, and they showed just how desperate Tuesday by parting ways with three players who suited up for that game.

In an attempt to salvage their disastrous season, the Giants also reacquired linebacker Deontae Skinner after he was re-signed and waived by NY earlier this year.

The Giants (1-7) are scheduled to visit the winless 49ers (0-8) at 4:25 p.m. ET Sunday.

In six games this season, Jenkins has 24 tackles (2 solo) with 6 pass deflections, 1 interception, 1 forced fumble, and 1 defensive touchdown.
