"The Talk" has had a hard year since Tyler left. The daily one-hour series is hosted by Julie Chen, Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne, and Sheryl Underwood, who swap stories, challenge each other on issues, and engage the studio audience and viewers at home about events in the headlines and their own homes.

"I'm always interested in unique and fun parts", Eve told Variety. While the daytime TV reinvention will be an adjustment, Eve says it won't involve her censoring herself-"I'm just in a place in my life where I was looking for a platform to express myself", she says. "And the plan was, before this opportunity came up, was to put out some music, which I still plan to do soon".
