14, Grammy-winner Eve was announced as the show's newest co-host - and we couldn't be more excited about this addition! "I feel like the first day of school". She will be replacing Aisha Tyler, who left in June.
Shortly before her addition to the show, Eve had appeared as a guest co-host during the week of October 30, and will be joining current hosts Julie Chen, Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne and Sheryl Underwood full time.
Angelica McDaniel, EVP Daytime Programs at CBS Entertainment, said Eve "brings a fun and fresh perspective to our already diverse panel" and will add "a new layer to the show as we continue to evolve season to season". Variety reports that the rapper/actress is slated to become a permanent part of the popular to the CBS talk show.

In a chat with People magazine, Eve reveals she was initially reluctant to join the Los Angeles-based show because she resides in London with her husband Maximillion Cooper. I am so honored to be here with you ladies.
"The Talk" has had a hard year since Tyler left. The daily one-hour series is hosted by Julie Chen, Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne, and Sheryl Underwood, who swap stories, challenge each other on issues, and engage the studio audience and viewers at home about events in the headlines and their own homes.
"I'm always interested in unique and fun parts", Eve told Variety. While the daytime TV reinvention will be an adjustment, Eve says it won't involve her censoring herself-"I'm just in a place in my life where I was looking for a platform to express myself", she says. "And the plan was, before this opportunity came up, was to put out some music, which I still plan to do soon".
