Gigi Hadid Drops Out of the 2017 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show

Model Behati Prinsloo walks the runway during the 2015 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show at the Lexington Armory on Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2015, in NY.

"Can't wait to tune in with everyone to see the handsome show I know it will be, and already can't wait for next year!" "Love my VS family, and will be with all my girls in spirit!" the 22-year-old tweeted.

While Gigi didn't address the previous furore caused by her video - which some branded "racist" - her exit means sister Bella will be travelling to the country to walk in the show alone. Ukrainian model Dasha Khlystun, and Russian models Irina Sharipova, Julia Belyakova and Kate Grigorieva are among the models to reportedly be denied a visa to travel to China, reports Fashionista. It seems the Chinese government isn't making life easy for organisers.

Gigi's younger sister Bella, however, appears to still be walking in Shanghai. "Victoria's Secret is not going to comment on that", the spokesman said.

"I am so excited!"

Hadid had previously announced in August that she would walk in the show again. According to Page Six, quite a few players who are set to attend the event have been running into issues with the Chinese government as the show is set to be in Shanghai.

The show is set to air on CBS on November 28, and Harry Styles and Taylor Swift - the two are exes and close friends to several Victoria's Secret Angels - are rumored to be performers.

"Forever and ever and ever a dream come true to be asked back to the VS Show", she wrote on Instagram at the time. The model apologized in September after being accused of "discrimination".

The Victoria's Secret spokesman declined to confirm or deny the reports.

It's also been rumoured that even media agencies are unsure if they will be granted visas or what they'll be able to film from the show.
