Harrison Ford Plays Real-Life Hero After Woman Crashes Car Off Highway

Together, they were able to help get the woman out of the auto as they waited for paramedics to arrive.

TMZ says he helped a woman who drove her vehicle off the highway Sunday morning in Santa Paula, CA, crashing into an embankment.

Ford and other drivers on California State Route 126 helped the woman exit her vehicle before the police and paramedics arrived.

It also had to be quite the shocking experience for the driver; you were just in a auto accident and your adrenaline is probably through the roof, and then you see Harrison Ford has come to your rescue. The woman only had minor injuries, thankfully.

This isn't the first time that the actor has shown quick-thinking and a willingness to help others in potentially risky situations.

While Ford will no longer be appearing in the Star Wars franchise, the 75-year-old actor will be reprising his role in Indiana Jones 5 in 2020. In video footage obtained by TMZ, Harrison can be seen standing just at the entrance to the tunnel, helping cars back up so that they can get out of the tunnel and merge into a separate lane.
