Missing Florida teen found safe in NY, officials say

The 17-year-old, who played soccer at her Florida high school, may have been in a relationship with the assistant boys' soccer coach Rian Rodriguez, who was with Frisina in the auto when police intervened around 4 p.m. Friday.

In addition, Frasina's parents discovered sexual messages on Snapchat between her and Rodriguez after her disappearance.

A Florida teen was reportedly found safe more than 1,000 miles from her home following a lengthy search for her and her 27-year-old soccer coach.

Columbia County deputies say after 4pm, a New York State police officer spotted the red Mercury, Frisina and Rian Rodriquez were traveling in.

Authorities did not release much additional information in statements Friday, though they indicated a news conference Monday will provide updates. The Columbia County Sheriff's Office in Florida says the girl, who had been missing since Saturday, was detained, and Rodriguez was taken into custody. "Although she's 17 years old, she's still unable to consent by law". First Coast News was told he was sacked for not showing up to work.

Rodriguez could face criminal charges, according to reports, and was arrested on a warrant issued for interfering with child custody.

They were also spotted early Sunday evening at a pawn shop in Fayetteville, Hunter said.
