While YouTube's Go app may not be available for Apple devices just yet, Apple TV users will at least be able to access YouTube's streaming live TV service now.

Back in October, YouTube TV announced dedicated clients for smart televisions, gaming consoles, and other streaming devices.

YouTube still trails Hulu's 450,000-plus live TV subscribers, according to the same report, and is now available in more than 80 percent of USA households.

YouTube Go was launched previous year, initially in India, as it was a lightweight version of the app intended for those who have limited space and memory in their devices as well as intermittent data speeds. The $35-a-month live TV subscription service is now on the most important platforms.

Existing YouTube TV customers can head over to the tvOS App Store to download the app for free.
