Anchorage police warn of 'heinous' child sex video circulating Facebook

A Millbrook, Alabama man wanted in connection with a viral video depicting the sexual assault of a young girl was taken into custody Tuesday. APD is asking anyone who encounters the video to flag it and report it to the social media site it is found on.

Meanwhile, the video still circulating on Facebook and other social media as far as Colorado and France shows a young girl performing oral sex on an adult, authorities said.

In Michigan, Moore faces four counts of criminal sexual conduct, two counts of child sexual abuse, one count of using a computer to commit a crime and one count of sexually explicit visual matter involving a child for alleged abuses dating back to 2011. Alabama police, where Moore surrendered said his wife was also detained but was not cooperating, the article stated.

Police said last week since the child denied it was her there was little they could do and sent the video to their counterparts in Interpol. Instead, police recommend deleting child pornography if you receive it and contacting either local police or the Ohio Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force at 440-886-5284, WFMJ reported.

Law enforcement agencies throughout Alabama are conducting an ongoing criminal investigation surrounding the sexual assault of a child and the distribution of a video depicting the assault. The video spread across Facebook as people tried to find the man.

Montgomery police say they arrested another man, Jerrell Washington, in connection with this case Monday night.

Local, regional and worldwide police have advised their citizens that sharing the video, no mater the noblest of intentions is a criminal offence.

"We do not allow the sharing of child exploitative images on Facebook or Messenger - even to express outrage. Regardless of intention, sharing such imagery is harmful and illegal", Facebook said in response to the video, according to southern Louisiana station KLFY. Germaine Moore, 44, is now being held at Elmore County Jail. Authorities weren't initially sure where the video originated, but began investigating the assault as well as how and by whom the video was shared.
