Justin Timberlake brings 'SelfieKid' to tears with surprise call, show tickets

Blown away Super Bowl Selfie Kid Ryan Mc Kenna got a surprise during his appearance on The Ellen De Generes Show on Friday

That changed (sort of) when McKenna dropped by Ellen today and, to his surprise, reconnected with Timberlake over the phone (presumably, he was too busy promoting Man Of The Woods to visit in person).

Next time you need free passes to a Justin Timberlake concert and an National Football League game, do what 13-year-old Ryan McKenna did at the Super Bowl: Push your way down a few rows.

McKenna, from Scituate, Massachusetts, was already living his dream, attending the Super Bowl to cheer on his beloved New England Patriots. I was elbowing people but I got there.

It just so happens that Timberlake did have something special coming up for McKenna. "But we had no idea Justin was going to be there".

He then clarified that he had actually been a few rows back when the star came up the steps, and that he had to do a little pushing to make his way to the singer's side.

Speaking of the moment he got to the singer, he said: "I got myself there, I pushed through". In the February 9 episode, Ryan recalled how he ended up taking a selfie with Justin when the halftime headliner suddenly called in to chat with him. "So it just shut off, and that's why all the memes formed".

As the interview continued, Ellen told Ryan that she had someone on the phone who wanted to say hi, at which point the teen looked astounded as Justin greeted him, and said: "It's nice to meet you, finally!"

As Ellen presented Ryan with four tickets to one of the April shows, he sat open-mouthed as the camera panned to his family in the audience and showed his father also in tears. DeGeneres then let McKenna know that thanks to the National Football League, he and his family would be getting a VIP experience at a New England Patriots home game next season, with four tickets to a game and four pregame field passes. "I would like to invite you and your family to the show", said Timberlake.
