Gandhi made the statement on his second day of "Janashirvada Yatra" in the poll-bound state of Karnataka and said that Modi was plunging into the past to attack the Congress party rather than looking at his own performance as a party leader.

Lashing out hard at the Prime Minister, Gandhi said, "Modi ji stop giving speeches and start working, because you don't have much time". Gandhi accused Modi govt of waiving loans of industrialists but not doing anything about the debts of the farmers.
