Moto G6 Play appears on Geekbench

Motorola is set to expand its G series of smartphone line up with three new smartphones - the Moto G6 Play, Moto G6 and Moto G6 Plus. The Moto G6 Plus, in particular, is expected to arrive in multiple color options, which you can see in the picture attached to the article: Blue, Cyan, Gold, Silver, and White.

Droid-Life claims that the Moto G6 Plus features a beefier 5.9-inch Full HD+ (18:9) display, a souped-up Snapdragon 630 CPU, 3/4/6GB of RAM, 32/64GB of storage, a dual-camera configuration (12MP + 5MP) like the Moto G6 and a 16MP selfie shooter. Also, the company announced the comeback smartphone in the Moto X series which was once the flagship series from the company and the latest smartphone in the Moto X series is the Moto X4. Other details about the G6 Play suggest that the phone may feature 3GB of RAM and runs Android 8.0 Oreo. Finally, the smartphone is said to pack a battery of 3,200mAh to keep the lights on. The benchmark listing also reveals the score of 1801 points for multi-core performance and 472 for single-core performance. Several reports have revealed the codenames - Ashley, Blaine and Teller - of the smartphones.

Now, talking about the Moto X4, this smartphone has been launched by the company in two different variants.

If we talk about the previous leaks, a popular leakster on Twitter, Evan Blass has tweeted the codenames of this phone as mentioned above. The bottom one houses a home button pulling double duty as a fingerprint scanner, good news for anyone who prefers physical buttons up front.

The Moto G6 Plus is expected to be unveiled at Mobile World Congress in a matter of days, so whether or not these protective case renders showcase the phone's final design will be determined soon. We have yet to learn when the smartphone will be introduced, but at least you now know what to expect.
