Report: Derrick Rose Signs with Timberwolves After Cavaliers Trade, Jazz Release

Free agent point guard Derrick Rose has agreed to sign with the Minnesota Timberwolves for the remainder of the season, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

When asked about Rose's roller-coaster career and what it means at this very moment, Thibodeau gave another short answer and left it there.

The point guard reunites with ex-Chicago Bulls head coach Tom Thibodeau in Minneapolis, joining former Bulls stars Jimmy Butler, Taj Gibson and Aaron Brooks, who like Rose, also played under Thibodeau in Chicago.

But not Hibbert (a 2-time All-Star), who tells TMZ Sports he seriously thinks Rose can help elevate the T-Wolves to become a championship team. Rose was traded to the Utah Jazz in a three-team trade that landed the Cavaliers George Hill and Rodney Hood. "That's what our expectations are: come in, be a good teammate, try to help us win".

"He was the best player in training camp", Wade said, noting that LeBron James was hurt for most of Cavs camp last fall. Rose joins a Timberwolves team bidding for its first postseason trip since 2004.

Yet when asked if he felt the need to do due diligence on Rose's recent issues, Thibodeau was steadfast in his support for the veteran point guard. I just want to have the opportunity to show I can still play'.
