It feels like the 3DS should be riding off into the sunset, but the consistently strong console sales and the large install base mean that Nintendo are compelled to keep looking after the system with new game announcements. This remake has an updated look and new features, like a map that displays on the bottom screen and a boss rush mode. These included an all new Wario Ware title and a remake of Gamecube Classic, Luigi's Mansion.
It will release on 27th July.
The game was released originally on Nintendo DS as one of the games in the Mario & Luigi RPG series.More news: Stalemate eases Liverpool into Champions League last eight
During today's Nintendo Direct the company started with a few headlines on the 3DS, one of which was a surprise remake of the original Luigi's Mansion.
Like Superstar Saga the game will come with a bonus story mode, this time called Bowser Jr.'s Journey. Unlike a traditional Mario title, players take control of Luigi, who must investigate a haunted mansion to rescue Mario from the ghosts that inhabit it.
It's out on 25th May.
