In February, Google did mention that the AI-based voice assistant will be available in more than 30 languages by end of the year.

Google Assistant, the smart virtual Assistant part of Android phones, can now talk in Hindi.

As of now, the feature is available on Android devices running Android 6.0 and above but will be coming soon to Android 5.0, Android Oreo (Go Edition) and iOS 9.1 and above.

Do note, to access Hindi Google Assistant, you will need to update your Google Search app to the latest version, and set your device language to Hindi.

As mentioned above the Google Assistant "Routines" is available for the United States consumers only at the moment there is no information when the feature will be available for more countries and when it will be rolled out for the Indian market. Having Google Maps and Assistant baked into Android phones makes this, theoretically, less of a technical challenge than it would be for Amazon Alexa. To try it out, just touch and hold the Home button or say "Ok Google" on eligible smartphones and your personal Google Assistant will be ready to help. Google also has a dedicated website with a list of commands available in Hindi for Google Assistant.
