The company is expected to unveil a cheaper iPad, possibly with Apple Pencil support and new software for the classroom. The cheapest 9.7-inch option in the UAE starts at Dh1,299. But Chromebooks with keyboards start as low as $200 - and a $329 iPad doesn't come with a stylus or keyboard.

Apple's free iCloud storage has been at 5GB for a long time now, and in 2018, that just doesn't cut it as a complimentary tier. Apple Pencil is available for purchase separately for Rs 7,600.

The Apple Pencil remains priced at A$145 for the public and A$129 for schools.

In December, Apple also announced plans to work with the city of Chicago on a coding program for up to 500,000 students.

Apple Inc on Tuesday kicked off an event in Chicago where it announced a new iPad that would work with its Apple Pencil accessory aimed at helping it grab more of the USA education market.

iOS 11 introduces powerful new features for iPad. As it stands, Apple Watch incorporates a bespoke heart rate monitor, accelerometer, barometer and gyroscope to track a range of biometric data and user movement. Rival tech firms Google and Microsoft have done so affordably in the past, with affordable laptops and tablets for students and teachers.

In India, the popular iPad with support for Apple Pencil will be available from April, starting at Rs 28,000. This will be built on top of the Apple School Manager software announced earlier today.

"There are definitely certain features the Apple ecosystem provides that Chromebook definitely can't so not just more affordable, it keeps to vision of creativity and all wonderful things that can be accomplished with Apple products", Rita Mortenson, a Wisconsin-based high school technology coach, told WLS.

If you're desperately in need of a new computer and missed the deals over the holidays, you'll be glad to hear that Best Buy is having a massive sale on MacBook Airs from now until April 1. Tempting? Well, it might be, but we think there is actually something else Apple needs to work on for its (allegedly) new iPad line up to appeal to students. Since then, the device has endured a roller-coaster ride, but with a noticeable decline.

"We believe today's announcements will have a small impact on their education business, but an immaterial impact on their overall business", Munster wrote about Apple in a blog post today.
