The latest update to PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds is coming, with the developers recently opening up about concerns over ping in matchmaking which would see a future PUBG update include server region locks.
There are problems with server region locks, because Battlegrounds has different game modes that are region specific.
The work-in-progress preview had been shown during Greene's March 23 talk at the Game Developers Conference, charting his progression from a developer of community modifications to the creative director at South Korean "PUBG" studio Bluehole Inc. The new region lock function is said to "improve network issues" and "help with linguistic barriers". "These servers will be made invisible to players residing in other regions".
Skins are going live on the test server today. At first, PUBG's new server set up will only be available in a limited test. You'll find these weapons skins in two new crates: the paid-for Triumpth crate, which is unlocked using Weapon Cosmetic Keys you buy through the Steam market, and the free Raider crate, which doesn't require a key to open.More news: SoftBank and Saudi Arabia Planning Largest Solar Project Ever
The test server update also addresses a couple of minor bugs.
The drop rates for both crates are detailed in the announcement.
While the V-Bucks and the backpack are nice, the real draw of this pack is its exclusive Rogue Agent player skin that makes the pack just as likely to appeal to the game's most dedicated players as it is to new Fortnite players.
