Doctors Hospital in Augusta said in a statement Thursday that six of the nine passengers taken there were either in good condition or had been treated and released.

COLUMBIA COUNTY, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - Officials with Augusta University Medical Center has confirmed they have received seven patients from the crash so far.

"Some of the witnesses that were on the bus at the time, they said that this had happened on two occasions previously from their trip to Atlanta - where the driver had gone off the right side of the roadway and brought it back onto the lanes", Georgia State Patrol Sgt. Chris Wright told ABC affiliate WJBF in Augusta.

Passengers on the bus told WRDW they noticed swerving before the bus veered off the interstate.

Jet Executive Limosine owns the tour bus, GSP said.

A man who answered the phone number listed for the Georgia-based limousine company refused to comment.

The crash caused I-20 to shut down in both directions, but the interstate later reopened.
