The University of Alabama and The University of Texas have announced a home-and-home series between the Crimson Tide and Longhorns. The teams will meet in Austin on September 10, 2022. The Buckeyes will travel to Austin on August 30, 2025, and the Longhorns will travel to Columbus, Ohio on September 5, 2026.
With the Crimson Tide on the schedule, Texas also announced it has canceled a home game with UCF that had been slated for 2023. "This will certainly be a great opportunity for our program and our fans".
The 2022 match will be the 10th meeting between the two teams and the first since the Tide defeated Texas in the BCS National Championship Game in early 2010.
In 2017 the Cards visited Camping World Stadium but fell to LSU in the Citrus Bowl 29-9
As expected, there were multiple opinions about Alabama and Texas scheduling this series. Texas is beginning to get back toward their winning ways under second-year head coach Tom Herman and I don't need to remind anyone how dominant Alabama has been since Saban came to town. Alabama is 5th with 891.
I think this is really great, not just for Alabama and Texas fans, but for all of college football.
Texas and Ohio State were scheduled to play a home-and-home football series in 2022 and 2023, but the two schools will now meet in 2025 and 2026. The Longhorns will now host the Buckeyes on August 30, 2025, and travel to Columbus on September 5, 2026.More news: CIA 'Vault 7' Leak Suspect Charged with Possession of Child Pornography
