Watch the Battlefield 5 reveal with Trevor Noah: WWII and free DLC

Battlefield V digital pre-orders open on Xbox One, to have 4K UHD, HDR10, & more

Battlefield 5 trailer revealed, set to release in October

"Come for Trevor Noah, stay for the developers", Dice adds.

Senior Producer at DICE, Andreas Morell, said in a press release: "With Battlefield V, we wanted to align with a partner who shares our passion for PC gaming". This is an interesting spot for the game to launch, as that means it'll be coming out right next to Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. Those that order the Battlefield V Deluxe Edition will get access three days early on October 16**, while EA Access and Origin Access members† will be able to jump into the Play First Trial on October 11. While the event lacked in terms of gameplay footage, we did get a decent amount of information.

"Because of this, we suggest not even blinking during the Battlefield V Live Reveal".

As expected, Battlefield 5 takes place during World War II.

EA has unveiled Battlefield 5 and numerous details fans want to know.

The Battlefield V single-player campaign follows the same format of Battlefield 1.

Battlefield V's multiplayer will introduce two new games mode on top of the traditional ones from previous entries: Combined Arms and Grand Operation. Fan favorite modes like the 64-player Conquest return, with the game's multiplayer culminating in Grand Operations, an all-new live, event-based experience within Tides of War. I'm hoping to see more proper gameplay later on at E3 though. As you fight in epic, unexpected locations across the globe, enjoy the richest and most immersive Battlefield yet. The game also features a heavy soldier, weapon, and vehicle customization.

Battlefield has always been one of the more intense gaming franchises, but EA and DICE seem to be doubling down on the visceral action with their new World War 2-Themed shooter, Battlefield 5. It turns out that the upcoming Battlefield V will be doing away with premium passes for additional DLC. This doesn't break game balance and gives everyone the free content. The first chapter of Tides of War starts in November and will focus on the fall of Europe.
