Epic Games Aims to Re-Release ‘Fortnite’ Playground Mode ASAP

Fortnite players meeting at ‘the rocket’ for tomorrow’s first real time mystery event

When is the Fortnite Playground LTM coming back?

But despite the fact that the rocket seems to finally be launching, that doesn't mean we're going to automatically know exactly what the rocket launch means, or what it does.

Fortnite Playground was launched during yesterday's update but was quickly taken down after various issues prevented players from starting a game.

This was done through a pod that came out of the rocket and smashed a laser into Tilted Towers.

It's anyone's guess what will happen once the rocket launches, but it could cause some damage to the map and change it up much in the same way that the meteor added plenty of new elements to the map for the beginning of season four last month.

And if history tells us anything we should be seeing additional in-game hints regarding Season 5 in the coming days. As this chart from Statista shows, it's a business model that's working for developers like Fortnite creator Epic Games. It proved to be a brilliant way to practice your building, or just as a way to muck about, but mere hours after launch Epic Games was forced to pull the mode from the game. "So many of you rushed in to create and play that our matchmaking service fell over", a statement from Epic Games reveals.

It's also been rumoured that out of the rocket launch, a Fortnite Leviathan creature will surface.

Two Epic Buddies said that Fortnite season 4 will end with two limited time modes (LTM). Fortnite players have scorned the vast distance between the second and third circles, which made Final Fight more of a race than a battle for players unlucky enough to be on the other side of the map.
