REAL MADRID Italian media links Ronaldo with move to Juventus

Paris Saint-German superstar Neymar has been heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid, but a former Los Blancos manager believes the club should be looking at somebody else instead.

ESPN Deportes' Paola Nunez reported that the "Jugones" story means that Real Madrid are at least considering the possibility of negotiations with Juventus.

Ronaldo threw his future into doubt in May by talking about Real Madrid in the past tense after beating Liverpool in the Champions League final, voicing frustration over long-stalled talks with club president Florentino Perez about an improved contract. He has not talked about his club future since joining Portugal for the World Cup.

The Serie A champions are said to have made an offer of around £88m with the European champions considering cashing in on the 33-year-old.

Ronaldo recently returned from the World Cup in Russian Federation after Portugal were knocked out at the last 16 by Uruguay.

Despite the glut of silverware, however, the five-times world player of the year has endured frequent fallouts with Real and has declared on several occasions that he wants to leave the club. The "Jugones" report said Juventus would offer to make Ronaldo the highest-paid player in their history at €30m a year. However, today I'm a player of the French national team and we have bigger fish to fry, no?' "We have not spoken recently, but I know him well enough to tell you that he is a very generous man, who does not give up on anything, and I know that he will do everything, right up until the last moment to be on the pitch", Matuidi added.

However, he missed a penalty in a 1-1 draw with Iran and failed to score in his side's 2-1 defeat by Uruguay in their last-16 encounter.
