Cardi B's husband Offset arrested in Georgia

Offset Arrested for Gun Possession

Offset reportedly arrested in Atlanta

Offset has had numerous run ins with law enforcement over the past few years. Offset's lawyer, Drew Findling, who claimed earlier today that Offset should not have been arrested, saying that "this was an improper arrest and I believe in his innocence".

Rapper Offset, a member of the trio Migos and the husband of hip-hop star Cardi B, was arrested on Friday afternoon on gun and drug charges after his Porsche was pulled over for making an illegal lane change.

Findling, who also reps Gucci Mane, Katt Williams and Trippie Redd, tells us, "It's a common theme. We're talking about a young, African-American man driving a shiny, lovely luxury auto and clad in designer clothes and watches and jewelry", Findling told TMZ. Officers smelled marijuana and during a search of the vehicle discovered three handguns, less than an ounce of marijuana and more than $107,000 in cash.

Offset was released from Clayton County Jail in Jonesboro, Georgia just after 10 a.m. after posting a $17,000 bond and has returned home to his wife and child.

The arrest comes less than a month after he and Belcalis Marlenis Almanzar, known worldwide by her stage name Cardi B, welcomed their daughter Kulture into the world. The arrest is a violation for Offset, who is a convicted felon now on probation.
