Mega Millions jackpot surges to $522 million ahead of Tuesday’s drawing

The estimated jackpot is more than $520 million, one of the largest jackpots in the history of the Mega Millions lottery game.

The largest-ever Mega Millions jackpot was $656 million in March 2012, shared by winners in Illinois, Kansas and Maryland.

No tickets with either five or six winning numbers were sold for Friday's drawing, sending the jackpot to $512 million for tonight's drawing.

The drawing is at 11:00 p.m. Tuesday night. Both tickets missed the yellow ball number, 1, that would have won them the entire pot.

IN had a significant Mega Millions jackpot victor just two years ago.

If Tuesday evening's victor takes the cash option, that will net them $303 million. Since there hasn't been a victor in weeks, the jackpot has climbed to an estimated $522 million. One report says there's a one in 302 million chance of winning the $522 million jackpot.

The winning numbers are 1, 2, 4, 19 and 29 and the Mega Ball number is 20.

The Pennsylvania Lottery also reported that a Powerball ticket worth $100,000 due to the Power Play option was sold at the Amoco at 1850 Christopher Columbus Philadelphia, for Saturday's drawing.
