Hart featured in City's pre-season match against Borussia Dortmund on Saturday, but the chances of him playing regularly in competitive fixtures are limited as he is the club's third-choice goalkeeper behind Ederson and Claudio Bravo.
Sancho left Manchester for Dortmund last summer after reportedly having concerns over his path from City's youth setup into the first team, and he showed why the Bundesliga giants paid a reported £8 million for his services. Starting goalkeeper Ederson is not on the roster for the U.S. preseason tour, having returned from participation in the 2018 World Cup with Brazil, although he didn't play as he served as Alisson's backup.
Dortmund boss Lucien Favre acknowledged the England Under-19 worldwide had "exceptional potential", and the 18-year-old is eager to improve even further and repay his manager's faith next season.
He joined City from Shrewsbury in 2006 and made 300 appearances.
